speaking of going through some shit I am seriously going to sue the SHIT out of my doctors. I have never been so mad in my life ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Danielle, I am really sorry you had to go through that and I know that it is a lot of stress feeling like you are responsible for your parent all of a sudden especially when they are at rock bottom like that. I am here to talk about it whenever you want, I had to go through the same thing with my dad and my aunt when i was younger so I could offer advice if you'd like.

It is too long and boring to explain the entire thing but basically they (being 3 well respected doctors in Boston) did all the extensive tests on my 2 years ago and then I never got any results. I asked about a follow up a few times but never heard anything back and figure everything had come back normal. So, I am still having the same symptoms that caused me to go in the first place only now they have been getting worse and I can't dealt with this shit on top of everything else I am going through with the cancer coming back etc. I had an appointment today and asked my doctor again about all those tests that I had done forever ago and she decided to pull up the reports from them on the computer while I was there. Turns out that two of the tests that would indicate a severe neurological condition of some kind were listed as haing abnormal results requiring immediate attention(two years ago) since this is something that is affecting my heart, kidneys, temperature regulation, blood pressure, everything that I have been having problems with... making my life a living hell. Not to mention that she has also been trying to push anti depressants and anti anxiety meds down my throat this who time thinking that my dizzy spells and racing heart etc. were all caused by anxiety disorder when she had that information in fornt of her face. So, now I have to wait a few more weeks and start all of this testing over again going into the city over and over getting god knows what done to me to find out which neurological disorder I have and how much damage has been done in these past two years without treatment. Awesome.

Sorry, that was really long... I am just mad and had nowhere to rant.

What a gross error. That's...insane that they would fuck up that badly.

At least hopefully now they know what is going on and you will get better. But yeah...I'd be suing their asses as well.

no wonder everyone takes off, I am a delight to be around. my body couldn't try any harder to kill me, I swear.

on a lighter note! this description was on the same page as some thing i was supposed to read:

WTF is this dosorder!?!?! There are SO MANY insane ones. Brains are nuts.

Agnosia is a rare disorder characterized by an inability to recognize and identify objects or persons. People with agnosia may have difficulty recognizing the geometric features of an object or face or may be able to perceive the geometric features but not know what the object is used for or whether a face is familiar or not. Agnosia can be limited to one sensory modality such as vision or hearing. For example, a person may have difficulty in recognizing an object as a cup or identifying a sound as a cough. Agnosia can result from strokes, dementia, developmental disorders, or other neurological conditions. It typically results from damage to specific brain areas in the occipital or parietal lobes of the brain. People with agnosia may retain their cognitive abilities in other areas.

The mind does really odd things. This is a personal fave of mine. I think it would be kind of neat to have this though. Call me odd.

that is crazy, alyson. i imagine it's super frustrating since something like that could have been avoided sooo easily (ie if they were doing their jobs). i hope it all works out and you don't have to get poked and prodded too much.

I sympathize with all of you, and I wish I didn't feel so selfish when I say I wish things would just look up for me once in awhile and quite falling so terribly apart. I can only handle so much at a time and I don't feel so strong anymore.

I'm sorry that everyone is having a shitty time.

Alex has gone back to England for a week to see his family and I can't sleep in this apartment on my own for some pitiful reason! However, my parents come to France tomorrow to see me and they are bringing my Nana. I can't wait to go and meet them. I'm going to take them to see New Moon tomorrow night because my Mum and Nana still haven't seen it, and then we are going to watch Stade Toulousain play rugby on friday and then here on saturday:

Alyson are you still at your address in Franklin? and you know I got your back, you can talk to me anytime.

Alyson: I'll hurt them for you before i go back to Scotland. That is a major fuck up. My friends aunt had something similar happen, although she was given medication that almost killed her. I worry about your health care system =/ I thought ours was bad...

Also, all of you guys have some heavy stuff going on...i thought things were rough in my life =/ I am pretty content here, i don't really want to go back to Scotland and shitty weather and work >_<
Annnnnd I really like Chicago so i'm thinking about maybe moving here for a year or so and seeing how it goes, if i can get into the country....it probably won't happen though.

Thanks guys. I had mentioned a few times in the past to my brother that I thought she was drinking too much but he didn't notice. I mainly noticed because she started getting angry at me yelling at me for no reason which she has NEVER done before...

I know she has a concussion but she was really bad last night, also she had a massive outwards bump on her head which is good because it's swelling in the right direction. I just put her to bed with ice on it and checked on her every few hours. Today the whole half of her forehead is swollen/black pretty much.

I'm glad she finally came to me. I've kind of been waiting for it but it's still unexpected at the same time. I'm unsure of what to do a this point other than to go through the whole house and remove all the booze, and just checking her drinks at night to see if they have vodka in them.

I know it sounds horrible but I just really don't have time to deal with this right now...I will deal obviously, but it's just another enormous thing to stress about.

Doctors in Spain gave me the wrong medication when I was sick and, in turn, I had internal bleeding. They fuck up everywhere.

The case with Alyson is just gross negligence. It's unacceptable.

And I really REALLY wanna travel to that town, Gemma. Looks so awesome. Reminds me of Toledo (in Spain).

It's really good she came to you, Danielle. Good first step. Keep her surrounded by loved ones and hopefully she can pull through it. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts and all that. Seems like the coming of winter brings lots of discontent.

good god alyson! i just learned about agnosia in my physiological psychology class, that is something doctors should take very seriously and should not miss. it would be terrible difficult to look at someone and not be able to recognize them based on facial features, but only by voice. it would also be terrible to see an object and not be able to verbalize it. both are pretty awful. i really hope you get the proper help you need SOON so progression cannot continue.
