I hate it when professors play favourites and you can't get a good mark regardless of the amount of work that you do. I am gonna be get fucking unfair shit mark in this class when I need an 80 and there's nothing I can do about it. Then I'm not going to get into grad school and then I might as well just die. BLEH. I made an appointment to talk to her about my marks but I know she's just going to talk at/over me and not listen to anything I say or ask. |

Just lost my job, was given an excuse about scheduling, but I know it's because the "new" manager and her friend who works at the cafe are giant bitches and decided they didn't like me right away. Fuck I feel like shit. |

on the upside: i got out of that sketchy boarding house apartment and found a beautiful three bedroom with two friends. we move in on the 15th. my midterm grades kicked ass this quarter, much to my surprise. on the downside: as a result of moving, I cannot keep my two cats. I am taking them to the humane society today because I can't find anyone to adopt them. I have been crying all day. |

It won't let me post a topic, so I'll just post this here: I saw this ad while I was watching The Office on Hulu about "snacks made just for women," which was basically just chips and stuff with no calories so we could watch our figures. I went to the accompanying website so that I could see if this was real, because I found it kind of offensive. www.awomansworld.com/ I watched some of the "webisodes," and this shit is unbelievable. I just have to know if I'm the only chick who finds this really offensive and obnoxious? |

I just bought a new cellphone today, to replace my shitty sidekick. It's t-mobile's mytouch. I love it so far. I am currently very hungry. It is pouring rain in Minnesota. For some reason I am listening to the "adult alt-rock" music channel on Comcast Cable and they are playing an Oasis song. |

| That's the point Jillian. They're selling this outdated idea of what women are supposed to be like, and trying to make you feel shitty about yourself to sell you crap. It's really kind of embarrassing for whoever is making the ads. I find it really surprising that stuff like this is still made. I thought it was a joke at first. |

| I think women are insecure because they're repeatedly told to be. I'm not going to act like I don't wear makeup and shit, because I think it's fun, but I haven't really seen such blatant marketing for a while and I found it annoying. I guess I'll never not find this stuff annoying. |
