breakup unappreesh. thread v. 328932

just ended a one year relationship with someone because i know i can do better. it was a bizarre relationship for a 26 and a 23 year old to be in. we rarely go out and hanging out usually consists of me driving to his house, or me driving to his friends house to sit around and do nothing or party with 19 year olds.
i didn't tell him that's why i ended it. i just said i didn't see a future between us....which is true. but i left out the parts about him being immature and rude, because he's not a bad person and didn't deserve that.
but anyways, it went terribly. he poured his heart out to me and now he hates me.
awesome.

i ended a 4 year on and off, emotionally attached, we will never let each other go, type of thing_SMEAR_TEST_ i called it quits, i was sick of him always picking me last, hell he invited another girl to new years with him, while i sat at home with nothing to do_SMEAR_TEST_ so its over for good and i feel amazing, but on the other hand i lost my best friend, and one of the people that i love the most, which does not feel so good_SMEAR_TEST_ :(
kaitlin, i can only give you words of praise for what you did, its better to get your feelings out in the open, then to sweep them under the carpet for them only to resurface later when they could be more damaging to him_SMEAR_TEST_ like jana said, you have to put yourself first! he might hate you right now, but its a hell of a lot easier to deal when you tell yourself that you are mad about it, vs being sad about it_SMEAR_TEST_ im sure he will come around eventually, and you two might be able to be friends_SMEAR_TEST_

when I dumped the dude I used to live with, there was about three months when he would text me when he was drunk and such_SMEAR_TEST_

so does anyone ever begin dating a guy KNOWING that it will go no where and enjoying that aspect of the relationship?
i am in the talking stage with a guy, and i don't want the relationship to go anywhere serious_SMEAR_TEST_ after my last breakup, i'm not in the mood to imagine spending the rest of my life with a guy right now_SMEAR_TEST_ i plan on moving away in a year for law school, and when i move, i will end things_SMEAR_TEST_ i don't mind being monogamous, though_SMEAR_TEST_
so is anyone in a situation like this?

I usually do, then cheat on the person throughout the whole relationship,

i've got you all beat:
recently (two weeks ago) ended a 3 year relationship with a girl because i realized that there was no possible way the relationship was going to end in marriage, so i figured why string this out any longer_SMEAR_TEST_
here's the catch
i live with her_SMEAR_TEST_ I still live with her, I'm on the lease and I figured it was a huge hassle to move out and also it would saddle her with an extra 600/mo in rent_SMEAR_TEST_
so as it stands, right now i live with a very good friend who knows that i don't want to marry her_SMEAR_TEST_
